QUICK-EASY- READ, picked it up and finished it the same day. Great dialogue, to the point and descriptive. I felt I was there. Lack of verboseness made me want to keep going, did not want the story to end.Flash backs never lost me, just enhanced each phase of the narrative.
Gained a new perspective as to the monumental tasks of a Navy deployment, even in just this one story.
The Prayer Book has heart, the growth of the characters is real, resonating in so many ways to the changes that we face as we grow.

Very moving story
An enduring life story of a Naval man's travels, trials and tribulations. This character has Gusto!
The Prayerbook is an engaging, heartfelt story that relates to all people. The author's message of family, friendship, love and peace is timeless.
Downloaded this book and read it in 2 trips to the pool! I feel like I know or have known someone, in my life, like each character in this book. Loved the way Ari developed them and left me wanting to know what the next chapter may bring.
I am a constant kindle user, I'm always reading. I have never done a review. This book is the real deal, a solid novel that takes you across the world and into the depths of despair, but shows you also what it sometimes takes to get out of the doldrums and make a positive impact.
It's a pleasant and provoking read that consumed my afternoon at the pool. If there was more, I'd read it! Eager for Mr. Wajnberg's next work.
This spontaneous search for childhood friends had me dreaming of those I wish I had the courage to track down. The tragic turn of events reminded me of how precious it is to really connect with our fellow man. The final gesture was a thoughtful tribute to a dear friend.
